This Seattle girl likes grey cabinets

I'm not sure how exciting some of you reading think my posts are, but I'm enjoying finding fun ideas and things and sharing them on here as often as I'm able to. :) This time, I wanted to share some pictures of really fun grey kitchen cabinets that I've been really drawn to lately. I worry a little that in a few years, I won't think they're so cool, but I kind of love them right now so I guess when we find a house, I'll have a big decision to make. Anyways, here are some fun kitchen ideas. Happy New Year!

More importantly than the grey, I WILL have this chalkboard fridge

This is the right color grey and I love the tile backsplash...if only the granite counters were lighter...

I would like this with a lighter grey

This is super modern and very clean looking, love!

For the love of wallpaper

So I'm perfectly aware that this post might make seem a little crazy....however....I'm on borderline obsessed with all things wallpaper. I think a fun wallpaper print in my (future) hallway or bathroom or office would be so fun. Here are a few ideas of some I love! Now if only I could convince my husband...

side note: I LOVE this bed

I may skip the rose petals, but think the texture is so cool

Forever House?

So I know this is my first house and I've had a lot of people tell me since this is my first house that it will be a "10 year house" not a "Forever House". I moved around a lot growing up - we're talking 17 different schools by the time I was in 10th grade (and no I'm not from a military family). I have carried on the tradition of moving every year and dragged my poor husband along for the ride. With this huge purchase and all of the time and energy we're spending on finding one and making sure it's perfect, I would really like this first house of ours to be our forever house.

My fingers are crossed that we find something we can grow into and will love to live in "forever" which brings me to my next point....my dream closet. See my theory is that if I make sure to build an incredible closet in this house, I'll never be able to give it up and our feet will stay firmly planted. I am saving lots of pictures from California Closet ad's and magazines but below is a pic of Lisa's closet from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (ps - I'm obsessed w/ all things Real Housewives) and her closet is now my dream closet that I would like to put in my first house. If you can dream it, you can do it...right? :)

Baby Shower Invites

My sister in law is having her first baby and I am hosting the shower with my mother in law. We're doing a jungle theme and I just finished these adorable invitations that I love and thought I'd share. Can't wait to see the whole shower come together.

Dream House

I absolutely fell in love with this house but we weren't ready to buy and the house was scooped up very quickly but I've saved some of the pictures from the listing. I am still not sure if I like dark or light woods but I really do like this white kitchen with all the stainless steel and grey touches. I also love love love the wrap around porch which is something you don't really see anymore.

Going Back to Our Roots

My little sister had a soccer game today and it was at the high school I graduated from. I jumped at the chance to take her so I could go back to my old stomping grounds and check out some of the neighborhoods and real estate up there. My high school is about 45 minutes from where we live now and that means 45 minutes away from our family and most of our friends...BUT...I love it there. I felt so at home and so nostalgic while we were there and I could picture us building our dream life in the valley where both my husband and I grew up. I love the small town feel and it was so gorgeous on a beautiful fall day...ugh! LOVE IT! Hubby is still not sold on the idea but I say we don't check it off our list just yet...
A really cool old bridge I used to drive over every single day, twice a day...breathtaking

The gorgeous Mountains you can see from pretty much everywhere in the valley
